Located at the edge of the humid subtropical zone, we get a reasonable amount of rain each year, and the summers aren't too dry, but our snowfall averages only about three days a year. Expect a light dusting of frost in the winter in temperatures that rarely drop below freezing. We also tend to have a long warm season and a relatively short winter, so it's short weather more often than not. If you like warm weather and you're not a big fan of icy winters, you'll love it here in Abilene.
